The catering provision at Aldercar High School from September 2026 will be provided by Aspens.  They are a highly experienced catering provider for the education sector providing a wide range of tasty meals, refreshments and snacks for students.

They only work in the education sector, so they know what customers want.  Mixing this knowledge with an understanding of what’s hot in the food world sparks creativity and excitement in their chefs.  The kitchens provide delicious home cooked food each day and cater for individual dietary requirements.

Streateries

This is our secondary meal offer where every day has a theme. Featuring Global cuisines, customised offers and food on the move, we are bang up to date with the current trends whilst still ensuring that there is a place on the menu for the comfort of our familiar school dining hall favourites. Each day the menu includes as standard a street food dish, a hand held version, vegetarian/vegan choices along with a selection of sides.

Deli Kitchen

The Deli Kitchen brand is for the popular standard Aspens hot and cold offers. This can range from Authentic Italian pizza and pasta, Hacienda Mexicana’s burritos, rice pots and sides and Voulez Poulet’s house rub chicken, dogs and sides through to our range of healthy sandwiches, paninis, wraps, jacket potatoes, salads, fruit and cold dessert pots.

Menu

The school menu rotates on a three-week basis and refreshes for Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer seasons.  Click here to access your current menu.

How to Pay

Payment for your meals couldn’t be easier. At Aldercar High School we use a cashless system. This means that a personal biometric account will be set up for you, so whether you enjoy free or paid school meals what happens at the till is the same for everyone. Free school meal allowances are allocated to accounts on a daily basis and for those paying cash, we use Arbor payments.

You will be able to top up your child’s lunch account on your standard Arbor account.  For any questions relating to this please contact School directly and ask to speak to the Finance team.

The benefits of using a cashless system are:

  • Convenience of paying for meals
  • Discourages the misuse of spending dinner money in the shops on the way to school
  • Reduces issues associated with cash such as bullying, loss of money or theft
  • Queuing is reduced due to increased speed of service
  • Reports of student purchases can be created
